Google is awesome

Seriously, its awesome! I was attempting to change my password on Gmail and somehow managed to lock myself out of my email. NOT GOOD.

Well, the first step to fix this is to have Google email you on a different account.  That didn’t work for me because the email I used when I set up the account was a hotmail address… who uses hotmail anymore?

Next step, answer a security question (after you wait for 24 hours.) I could not answer the security question. It was a simple question that I SHOULD of been able to answer and I thought I had answered it correctly.  Who is Google to argue me that my first phone number wasn’t what it was?

After that did not work, I had to fill out this form.  It was very detailed, with questions such as, list 4 emails you email on a regular basis, when did you create the account, etc….

AND I kid you not, 1 hour after I filled out a form, I recieved a email to my new “reset” email that started with… “Thank you for your report. We’ve completed our investigation and we’re re-enabling your access to this account.”

No, Google, THANK YOU for being so protective of my email and for responding so promptly. You rock and you have a fan for life.

Now, back to checking my missed emails….
