Cozy
Hi all. I’ve had a pretty good day - no tears (well, yet.) This is a huge accomplishment for me. Yesterday, the tears flowed as often as it was raining. Right now, I’m happy! The candles are lit and the windows are open. I’m expecting Dad and Buddy to pull up any minute with some KFC to go with the green beans, corn, rolls, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes/gravy that Harris Teeter so kindly made for me in their deli. I am so looking forward to a nice cozy evening reading Grace some of the library books she picked out today and then starting in on my own once she is in bed. I feel at peace today… and I like it!
On a really sad note, my old boss at Clifton and Singer, Dick Singer passed away yesterday of a heart attack. It blows my mind how you can be just fine one minute and in heaven the next. Its not like Mom, who we all knew was dying. This poor guy went to work and just didn’t come home and that breaks my heart right in two all over again. And what a great guy he was, he gave me a job when I begged him for one, helped and advised me whenever I needed it, told some of the funniest stories/jokes you ever heard and was just an all around fantastic person. My thoughts and prayers are with him and my Clifton and Singer family.
